Now it is time to concentrate on practical side of our lessons. In this and following lessons I will show you notation, tabulature and formula of
most frequently used scales. All of them will be in C (for comparison) and when you learn them (especially their shape on the fingerboard) you
can use them in other positions. That is an advantage of the guitar over the keyboards - learn a scale shape in one key and then just move your
hand and play the same shape in other keys.
What you hear and see is a two octave C Ionian scale (or mode) in three different shapes. In the following lessons I'll show only one most
common shape and if you like you find the others.
Audio is a same ascending C Ionian scale followed by short improvisation within the scale.
to lesson 4.
